The Haute Route calendar for 2018 has been announced by OC Sport, and it takes the total number of their races to 11, includes five additional 3-day events. Haute Route will run their three week-long events as before in The Rockies (late June), the Pyrenees (late August) and in the Alps (August into September), and their 3-day events in Alp d’Huez (July), the Dolomites (September) and around Mt Ventoux in Provence (in October), but next year they will also be staging five new events, including three in the USA.
The 2018 season will start with their new event near San Francisco (April) for three days of racing around the Bay area, before moving to Asheville, North Carolina (May), for climbs in the Appalachian Mountains and Blue Ridge Mountains. After this comes their third new race in Stelvio/Bormio, close to the Italian/Swiss border (June), where the event will centre on the legendary Stelvio pass. Their new Maserati Norway event will follow in early August in the Stavanger region and the final new event for the year is to be held in Utah in mid-September, around Cedar City with its backdrop of extraordinary mountains.
