Newall Hunter is setting off on an unassisted solo crossing of the Gobi Desert on foot this winter. It will cover some 1750km in all, heading west to east. He expects it to take 70-90 days and for temperatures to drop to around minus 30 or minus 40 degrees.

Matthew Sutherland could barely run a kilometre without severe pain until a few years ago. Now he has just finished the LT70, a 70 kilometre trail run with 3300 metres of elevation on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. He made the distance in just under 16 hours.
