Diane Shearer - Images of Adventure
An image inspired by the Grand to Grand Ultra, a seven day staged running race held in the US states of Arizona and Utah
Diane Shearer is a South African artist who specialises in paintings of the outdoors and of adventure. She is an adventurer herself, having competed in Expedition Africa 2018 in Namaqua in South Africa (see below for images inspired by that race). In her own words -
“I love to explore the world and tell stories about my experiences through drawings. I aim to create art that fellow nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts can relate to and enjoy.”

The images below were inspired by Diane’s experience in Expedition Africa 2018, which was held in the Namaqua region of South Africa. It was a 530km adventure race that ran through Namaqua and the Cederberg mountains. See more about Expedition Africa.
